How do I promote my ad space on Online Dating Advertising?
Visit our Offer Ad Space page for full instructions. Before sending us the information on your ad, first send a query email with a link to your site. We need to approve your site before it is listed (we only allow "family friendly" dating sites to post ad space). Once you've been approved and send us the information for your ad (along with the $40 payment), your ad will be listed within 48 hours and will be linked to from the Ad Packages page.
I want to offer ad space, but do I need to have more than one Website? I see your packages have multiple Websites in each package.
You can offer an ad package that targets just one Website or multiple dating-oriented Websites that you own. When Online Dating Advertising launched in March 2008, the Ad Packages listed all had multiple Websites. However, you can just advertise ad space for one site, if desired.
What happens when an advertiser buys the ad package I have listed?
When an advertiser purchases your ad space, you need to notify us so that we can put "Not Available" in your ad. We still leave your ad up for the full month you paid for so that potential future advertisers can still contact you if they wish to be placed on a waiting list.
I'm interested in purchasing an ad package. Do I contact you about it?
You will be communicating directly with the company offering the ad space. To contact them, first select an Ad Package, then scroll down to "How to Order this Package" and follow the instructions.
In Ad Packages, how do I know what sites my ads will appear on?
Each Ad Package outlines exactly where your ad will appear and on what site. If you look under "Websites in this Ad Package", you will be able to click on any of the Website titles to visit that Website.
Do you have demographics for the Ad Packages?
Some Ad Packages list demographics and some don't. You can get further information by emailing the contact under "How to Order this Package".
Do you verify the numbers listed under Estimated Exposure?
No, we don't. We simply post the ad package provided to us. However you can get more information on a Website's popularity and estimated reach from sites like Alexa.com.
Do you have any other recommendations for reaching multiple dating sites?
Google runs several programs (including ad images and videos), in addition to Adwords, that help advertisers target Websites that participate in Google's Adsense program. Many sites, including Online Dating Magazine, are part of the Google Adsense program.
To help you better understand a few of the terms you may read on the Online Dating Advertising Website, here is a glossary:
Unique Visitors: When you see stats like "40,000 unique visitors last month" that means that 40,000 different people visited the site. Even if one person visited the site 30 times that month, they only counted once as a unique visitor. After that first visit they became a repeat visitor.
Primary Target Audience: This is the key demographics of who you are trying to reach with your ad. Is it singles, single online daters, or single women between the ages of 18-29. Each Ad Package lists the Primary Target Audience, although some are more in-depth than others.
Run Length: This is a description of how long your ad will be featured. For example, if the run length is 30 days and your ad starts showing on the first of the month, then your ad campaign will conclude at the end of the 30th day.
Impressions (or Displays): This is how many times your ad is shown. Some sites give you unlimited impressions for the duration of your ad. Others run an ad for a certain amount of impressions. When your ad has been shown for the number of impressions it has been purchased for then it concludes.
